There’s nothing like a family reunion. We headed to Victoria, BC, with ferries, parks, waterfront strolls, barbeques, and all the joyful chaos of kids in tow. The weekend was full of laughter, late dinners, hotel pool splashes, Beacon Hill Park hikes, beach time, and reconnecting with loved ones. Through it all, the Cotopaxi Allpa 42L was my quiet sidekick, keeping everything organized and easy to carry.

Ferry Rides & First Impressions
The ferry was a highlight for the kids, hair flying in the wind as they pointed out islands and seabirds. I was juggling snacks, sweaters, and souvenirs, and the Allpa made it effortless. Grab handles on every side and quick-access pockets were perfect for toys and snacks.

Packing Made Simple
Family trips mean packing extra everything: just-in-case outfits, bedtime books, and favorite toys. Using Cotopaxi’s Cubo packing cubes inside the Allpa was a game-changer. Each kid had their own cube, so there was no hunting for clean socks or favorite t-shirts. Clothes stayed neat, and I was amazed at how much I could fit—running clothes, dressy outfits, everyday wear, and everything for the pool and beach.

Comfort on the Go
From morning walks along the Inner Harbour to hikes in Beacon Hill Park, beach adventures, family dinners, and hotel pool trips, the Allpa made carrying everything effortless. It carried like a hiking pack but blended perfectly on city streets. Padded straps, a hip belt, and a breathable back panel kept it balanced and comfortable, even fully loaded.

Family Time & City Wanders
Our days were packed with backyard barbeques, long dinners, hikes, and beach walks with kids running barefoot in the sand. The Allpa kept clean and dirty clothes, snacks, electronics, and gear perfectly separated. Its bold colors caught attention, with family members asking about it for both style and function.

The Perfect Layer: Teca Half-Zip
Victoria’s weather was unpredictable. Sunny afternoons gave way to breezy evenings and cool beach winds. The Teca Half-Zip Windbreaker was light, easy to carry, and perfect for windy ferry rides or park strolls. It paired effortlessly with the Allpa.

Why I’d Choose This Setup Again
Even in just a short time with the Allpa 42L, it became my go-to pack for barbeques, hikes, city strolls, the beach, and poolside. Rugged, smartly designed, and carry-on sized, it fit seamlessly into family life. I’m already excited to take it on longer travels, weekend trips, and outdoor adventures.
I’m so grateful for family time—watching all the kids and now adult cousins laugh, feeling the wind in our hair, and soaking up every little moment together. This reunion was unforgettable, and the Allpa and Teca made it even easier to enjoy every moment.
