1. Taggart Peak (AKA Abby Grind)

Taggart Peak : This is a great hike close to home with a fantastic view of the valley. An hour up the trail to the view point is what is known as the Abby grind but you can continue up to Taggart Peak.


2. Ledgeview Moutain Biking

Trying to find something exciting? Bike through beautiful Ledgeview! There are trails for every level of experience. Ledgeview is unique in the Lower Mainland as it contains mostly deciduous trees. This means there is a lot of soil to build with resulting in tons of berms and jumps with very little rock.

3. Discovery Trail

Walk, run, bike and even horseback ride through discovery trail. Explore the trail that stretches across 31+ kilometers through Abbotsford. This community recreation trail connects with parks, picnic day use areas, wetlands, farmlands, view points, dykes, marshes and green space areas.

4. Kayak Chillwack River

The Chilliwack River offers great kayaking opportunities, including some excellent white water at the rapids near the Tamihi Bridge. The Chilliw ack is graded from Class ll to Class lV with rocks, boulder gardens, blind corners, haystacks, and surfing waves. No better way to cool off on a hot day.

6. Elk Mountain


Take a hike up elk mountain and you won't regret it. The hike itself begins with a steady incline up the mountain through a beautifully forested area and the view from the top is spectacular.

8. Great local fishing

Whether its catching sturgeon in the Fraser River or a relaxing lake trip, the Fraser Valley has some of the best spots right outside your door. There are quite a few good fishing spots in our area. Greendrop Lake, Cheam Wetlands, Fraser River or Flora Lake to name just a few.

You dont want to miss out on a hike up Mount Cheam. With its 360 view of the valley and surrounding mountains it isn't something you want to miss.
